AI Giants: Who leads the global race? Where does India rank?

United States The United States is currently leading the global AI computing power with approximately 39.7 million H100-equivalent units, huge power capacity (19.8K MW), massive private investment and the strongest AI infrastructure and research ecosystem.

United Arab Emirates  At the second position is the United Arab Emirates with 23.1 million H100 units. It invests heavily in AI infrastructure and cluster development, thus rising rapidly as West Asia’s tech leader.

Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia has the third-largest AI power capacity at 7.2 million H100 units, along with large state-driven investment and aggressive plans for AI adoption in public and private sectors.

South Korea A strong contender in AI workforce engagement is South Korea, with its 5.1 million H100 units. Many clusters, high AI chip usage and a strong tech base in hardware and software help it secure the fourth position on the list.

France France has secured the fifth position on the list, while the top position in Europe. The nation has a solid AI cluster presence, robust funding, and growing adoption across industries.

India  With 1.2 million H100 units, India ranks sixth on the list. It has a rapidly growing AI sector, a large number of AI chips and clusters, and is catching up in investment and infrastructure.

China  In the seventh position is China with 400,000 H100 units. It has many data centre clusters and strong research output. But there still remains a gap compared to the US in deployment.

United Kingdom  The United Kingdom has secured the eighth position on the list. It is notable for its AI infrastructure and policy support, emerging clusters and growing AI employment engagement.

Finland At the ninth position on the list is Finland with 72,000 H100 units. Although it is smaller, it has a high score in AI adoption relative to size,  good infrastructure and focused clusters.

Germany With its 51,000 H100 units, Germany has secured the 10th position on the list. It has a strong European AI presence, solid investment, and a good regulatory framework, which contribute to its popularity.
