China's People's Liberation Army or the PLA seems to be expanding further. Corporate firms in China are setting up private army units known as "People's Armed Forces Departments". The private fighting units will act as reserves for China's military. Beijing says they will be available for war, help maintain social order and respond to natural disasters. Is China preparing for war or a new pandemic?
