A huge mob of masked, black-clad thieves stormed a California jewelry store and stole around $1 million in merchandise, caught on surveillance video. The robbery happened on Monday in San Ramon, about 34 miles east of San Francisco, in broad daylight, and is believed to be linked to the same gang behind previous raids. The thieves, up to 30 people, used crowbars and pickaxes to smash display cases and take jewelry. They then shot their way out when a security door tried to lock them inside. Lt. Mike Pistello from San Ramon PD reportedly said, “When they went in, they basically took over the store. Basically, taking whatever jewelry was available”.
