The United States has deployed five F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico as part of President Donald Trump's order to send ten stealth aircraft to the Caribbean. The move follows a visit by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and America's top general, amid rising tensions with Venezuela. Washington says the mission targets drug cartels, after a US strike destroyed a suspected cartel vessel, killing eleven. Venezuela denies the claim and accuses the US of fabricating threats.
