Thailand Suspends Peace Deal with Cambodia After Border Landmine Explosion | Firstpost America |N18G

A landmine blast along the Thailand-Cambodia border has left four Thai soldiers injured, prompting Bangkok to suspend a US-brokered peace deal. The explosion occurred in Thailand's Sisaket province, with the army alleging the mine was newly planted on Thai soil. Cambodia has denied the claim, saying it remains committed to the ceasefire signed in Malaysia last month in the presence of US President Donald Trump. The truce followed five days of deadly clashes in July that killed at least 48 people and displaced more than 300,000. Thailand's move to halt the deal now threatens to reignite tensions along the volatile frontier.
