Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended profuse thanks to President Donald Trump on Monday, calling him a friend in the White House. He insisted that Israel had achieved all its objectives in Gaza and thanked the President for concluding the conflict. Netanyahu also said that Trump would be conferred with the highest Israeli award — the first person from outside the country to be named. Meanwhile, sustained applause and a standing ovation greeted Trump as he entered the Israeli Knesset on Monday. The chamber was crowded with lawmakers but also U.S. officials -- including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defence.
