Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni paid a surprise visit to US President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The two leaders had dinner as Meloni sought to strengthen ties with the United States under the incoming Trump administration. Trump and Meloni were also joined by the president-elect's cabinet picks, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. The president-elect told a crowd at Mar-a-Lago that Meloni is a "fantastic woman" who has "taken Europe by storm".
