Tensions between Israel and Yemen's Houthi forces are rising, with new attacks spreading to the Red Sea. The Houthis said they struck an Israeli-linked cargo ship with drones and a missile, and also launched drone attacks inside Israel. Israel’s military gave a different account, saying most strikes failed or were intercepted. The violence comes after Israel killed the Houthi-run government’s prime minister in an airstrike on Sanaa, while Houthis raided UN offices and detained staff. With more ships being targeted, the Red Sea is becoming a dangerous zone, threatening global trade routes and regional security. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier promised to retaliate, warning the Houthis they will "pay a heavy price" for attacks on Israeli territory and shipping.
