Houthis Claim Responsibility for Deadly Attack on Tel Aviv Near US Embassy | Firstpost America
Yemen-based Houthi group launched a drone attack on Israel's Tel Aviv in early hours of Friday. The strike killed a 50-year-old man and injured at least 10 other people. Houthis said they launched the attack in response to Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza. The explosion occurred after the drone crashed into an apartment building just 100 metres from the US embassy. Israel said its air defence systems detected the drone but it was not intercepted due to a human error. The strike was launched hours after Israel claimed it had killed a senior Hezbollah commander in Lebanon. Both Houthis and Hezbollah are backed by Iran.
