Germany has drafted a sweeping new defence plan outlining how up to 800,000 NATO troops would move across its territory if Russia launched an attack on the alliance. The document, known as OPLAN DEU, details routes through ports, railways, rivers and highways, while highlighting Germany's ageing infrastructure as a major vulnerability. Berlin now plans massive investments to rebuild critical links and strengthen civilian-military cooperation. The strategy comes amid growing intelligence warnings that Russia could test NATO's borders sooner than expected. From drone incursions to sabotage attempts, officials say Europe must be ready. Germany's rapid preparations show how quickly the continent's security landscape is shifting.
