Tech billionaire Elon Musk finally sat down with dozens of journalists in the West Wing’s Roosevelt Room. Musk reflected on his 100 days working with the Trump administration and admitted spending less time in Washington for a while. The tech mogul acknowledged the shortcomings of the Department of Government Efficiency, saying it only slashed $160 billion in federal spending, which is way less than the $2 trillion goal he had set last year. He also disclosed that in the process of firing thousands of federal workers, some vital employees were "accidentally let go." When asked about who would lead DOGE in his absence, the world’s richest man compared himself to the iconic religious figure Buddha and DOGE to Buddhism.
