Disney World has argued that a husband cannot sue the company over the death of his wife because he, years ago, agreed to the terms of service while signing up for a free trial of Disney+. Jeffrey Piccolo filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Disney after his wife, Dr Kanokporn Tangsuan, died last year from a severe allergic reaction after eating at a restaurant at the theme park. However, Disney argues its terms of use clearly state that any dispute with the company or its affiliates should be settled out of court. Lawyers for Piccolo have called the bizarre argument "preposterous" and inane".
