In a groundbreaking move to promote sustainable tourism, Denmark’s capital city Copenhagen is rolling out a new reward scheme for its tourists. This innovative initiative aims to reduce the city’s carbon footprint by offering tourists incentives such as free food, drinks, and even Kayak rentals. This will be given in exchange for participating in environmentally friendly activities like picking garbage or riding a bike instead of using a car. It is a complete trust-based system where the person will not be asked to present proof of what they did. Until now, nearly 24 companies have signed a partnership agreement with the government for this project. Watch the video to know more.
