A Delta Air Lines Boeing 737 flight from Orlando to Austin experienced a mid-air scare when a portion of the left wing's flap broke off before landing in Texas. The incident on Flight 1893, carrying 62 passengers and six crew, ended safely with no injuries. Delta confirmed the aircraft was taken out of service for maintenance. The FAA has launched an investigation. The case adds to several Delta mishaps this year, including engine fires and an emergency landing.
