Another migrant disaster off the Libyan coast has left at least four people dead and dozens missing. Two overcrowded boats capsized near Al Khums, with nearly a hundred migrants on board. One vessel carrying Bangladeshis lost four people, while a second boat filled with Sudanese survivors managed to stay afloat. This marks the second major tragedy from the same region in a week. The route from Libya into the Mediterranean remains one of the world’s deadliest, as people flee war, poverty, and collapsing states. The UN says more than seventeen hundred migrants have died on these crossings this year alone.
