Ahead of Uganda's presidential elections, two Kenyan activists were Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyo gone missing while leading the campaign rally for reggae musician turned politician Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine has been nominated as a candidate in Uganda's presidential elections. Reports suggest that they were abducted from a petrol station and were taken to an unknown location. The authorities confirm that they are working to secure their release. Bob Njagi lead Uganda's National Unity Platform party. The incident unfolds series of disappearances in East Africa including prior abduction of Njagi. Human rights group projects this incident as another incident that showcase cross-border repression.
