A 36-year-old Indian national, Adarsh Behera, has reportedly been kidnapped by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from El-Fasher, a city ravaged by civil war. Behera, originally from Odisha, India, was abducted and believed to have been taken to Nyala in South Darfur. The Sudanese ambassador to India confirmed coordination with New Delhi to ensure his safe release. Meanwhile, El-Fasher’s fall marks a major setback for Sudan’s army amid reports of famine, war crimes, and mass displacement.
