Khartoum International Airport was targeted by drones ahead of its planned reopening for domestic flights, more than two years after the outbreak of Sudan’s civil war. Reports indicate the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), in conflict with the Sudanese army, may have carried out the attacks, though no group has claimed responsibility. Army air defences intercepted the drones, and there are no confirmed casualties or damage. Tuesday’s strike marked the third attack in the capital within a week, highlighting the growing use of foreign-made drones by both sides. The ongoing conflict has killed tens of thousands and displaced millions, leaving the path to normalcy uncertain.
