South Africa is investigating the mysterious arrival of 153 Palestinians from Gaza who landed at OR Tambo International Airport without proper documentation. After spending nearly 12 hours on the plane, most were allowed entry following intervention from a local charity and President Cyril Ramaphosa’s appeal for "compassion". Authorities granted visas to 90 passengers, while others continued towards other destinations. The group reportedly travelled from Israel’s Ramon Airport to Nairobi before reaching Johannesburg, raising questions about coordination. Conflicting statements from Israel and the Palestinian Authority have fuelled concerns over possible human trafficking networks. The incident highlights growing uncertainty surrounding Palestinian displacement amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.
