US President Donald Trump and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, are co-chairing the Gaza Peace Summit in Egypt. The talks are aimed at securing a document ending the nearly two-year war in Gaza. Over 20 world leaders, including prominent figures like the British, Italian, and Spanish Prime Ministers, and the Presidents of France and Turkey, are expected to attend, alongside Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Hamas, and Iran have opted out of the event. Along with the US, Qatar, and Turkiye, Egypt has been a key mediator in efforts to end the war in Gaza.
