Egypt recently hosted Bright Star 25, a large-scale multinational military exercise co-led by the United States. Held from August 28 to September 10, the drills brought together over 40 nations, including India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Italy, and Greece. The exercise featured field training, command-post drills, counter-terrorism operations, parachute insertions, and joint armed operations. India contributed over 700 personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, enhancing interoperability and cooperation. Conducted amid heightened regional and global tensions, Bright Star 25 underscores the importance of joint preparedness, defense collaboration, and collective security in maintaining stability across North Africa and the Middle East.
