Deadly flooding continues to devastate parts of northern South Africa after weeks of relentless rainfall. At least 19 people have been killed, including a young child, as rivers burst their banks across Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces. Authorities have issued an unprecedented red level 10 weather warning, with up to 200 millimetres of rain expected in just 48 hours. The extreme conditions have forced the closure of Kruger National Park, where staff and guests were evacuated by helicopter. Rescue teams remain on high alert as climate-driven storms intensify across the region.
