Madras Cafe actresses Leena Paul arrested in an investment fraud case

South Indian actress Leena Paul, who was last seen in the John Abraham and Nargis Fakhri starrer Madras Cafe, has been arrested by the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai in relation to an alleged cheating case. Image from Facebook.[/caption] According to this   NDTV report, Paul and her partner Shekhar Chandrashekhar, has started a investment firm and promised clients 10 times return on their investment in a short period of time. But many complaints against the duo started surfacing by those who were cheated on. The duo are being kept in police custody till June 4, reports Indian Express. This isn’t the first time that Paul and Chandrashekhar have been arrested on a cheating fraud. In 2013, The duo allegedly cheated Canara Bank in Chennai of Rs 19 crore, and fled to Delhi to escape arrest, while living in an abandoned farmhouse, reports Daily Mail. Chandrashekhar had also been taking money from impressionable youngsters who want a break in the film industry using Paul’s name. Leena Paul has been acting in Tamil films and made her Bollywood debut with Madras Cafe.
