Finance Minister P Chidambaram seems to have hit the right notes with his 2014 Interim Budget, pegging the fiscal deficit for 2013-14 at 4.6 percent of the GDP, well below the red line of 4.8 percent. The year’s current account deficit will be contained at $45 billion.
