China's President Xi Jinping is vying for China to lead the Global South. In a meeting with Sierra Leone's Leader in Beijing, President Xi hinted China wants to do more to represent the Global South. India, however, has been advocating for the Global South to be at par with the West for quite some time. With claims of representing the bloc on the global front, what is China trying to achieve?
