Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India on December 4 and 5 to lead the Russian delegation at the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit. During the visit, he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Indian President will host a state banquet in his honour. "The forthcoming State Visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of India and Russia to review progress in bilateral relations, set the vision for strengthening the 'Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership' and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest," India's MEA said in a statement. This visit also marks Putin’s first visit to India since December 2021.
