Mexico is facing one of its worst flooding disasters in years after days of heavy rain triggered by a tropical depression and a cold front. At least 64 people have died, 65 are missing, and over 300 communities still reportedly remain cut off, with more than 100,000 homes damaged or destroyed. The worst-affected states are Veracruz, Hidalgo, and Puebla, where roads and bridges have collapsed. Over 10,000 troops have been deployed as part of a major emergency operation, with helicopters and boats delivering aid. Authorities are focused on rescuing survivors, preventing disease outbreaks, and providing financial support to those who lost homes and businesses.
