US President Donald Trump received a warm welcome in Japan from the country's new Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi. Praising each other, the two leaders appeared to strike up a quick friendship. "That's a very strong handshake," Trump told Takaichi, who became Japan's first female Prime Minister just days ago. She even joined him as he addressed US troops aboard an aircraft carrier. The two leaders signed a deal on rare earth minerals and a document marking a new "golden age" of US-Japan relations — reaffirming their commitment to previously negotiated agreements, including the 15% tariff deal reached earlier this year. Takaichi highlighted her connection to the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, her mentor who had built a close relationship with Trump during his first term through their shared love of golf. Later, at a dinner attended by top business leaders at the US Embassy in Tokyo, Trump celebrated the day's deals. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma brings you the full story.
