Recent strikes linked to the United States and Israel have impacted areas across Iran, with shockwaves causing damage to cultural and heritage sites. Iranian officials say more than 108 cultural locations across 12 provinces and 17 cities have been affected. Sites including Golestan Palace in Tehran and landmarks in Isfahan show visible damage. UNESCO has confirmed that World Heritage sites are impacted and says coordinates had been shared with all sides. Concerns are also rising in Jerusalem and Lebanon, where debris and nearby strikes have occurred close to historic locations. The situation highlights risks faced by cultural heritage sites during ongoing regional conflict.
