Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, once a calm coastal town, has turned into the center of a major global peace effort. Leaders including President Donald Trump, President Abdel Fattah al Sisi, Emmanuel Macron, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer have come together under the Red Sea sun to push for an end to the two year Gaza conflict. Notably missing from the table are representatives from Israel and Hamas. With enormous expectations surrounding the summit, many are wondering if this renowned City of Peace can truly deliver lasting stability in West Asia or if it will fade like previous failed attempts at reconciliation.
