The Maldives' former Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has claimed that President Mohammed Muizzu's assertions of "thousands of Indian military personnel" stationed in the Maldives was just another in a string of lies. Abdulla added that there are no foreign soldiers stationed in the country. This comes amid Muizzu's push for the removal of Indian troops from the Maldives.
