Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his Moroccan counterpart opened the first defence manufacturing facility plant at Berrechid, Africa. Expanding to over 20,000 square metres, the defence facility aims to provide Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP), a joint development between Tata and DRDO. This inauguration led to the strengthening of India-Africa ties. It will provide indigenous armoured vehicles and will help the locals towards employment and easily help them to adapt to the technological shift.
