Europe is dealing with an increasing threat from unauthorized drones entering its airspace. Recently, Poland observed drones crossing its borders, Romania issued warnings about drone activity, and Danish airports had to shut down after drones appeared near runways. To address this, the European Union plans to establish a drone security barrier, a comprehensive network of radar systems, detection sensors, and signal jamming technology stretching from Finland to Bulgaria. This initiative, backed by NATO and supported by Ukraine’s battlefield experience, aims to boost regional security. However, questions remain about funding and how long implementation will take. Russia has denied any involvement and has criticized the project as an act of escalation.
