Billionaire Elon Musk has unveiled plans to visit India this year. This comes after the Tesla CEO held a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Musk says he wants to increase business with India, which includes bringing Tesla and Starlink to the world’s most populous country. Musk has announced plans to invest over $3 Billion in India, which includes a Tesla megaplant. Meanwhile, Starlink has tied up with two Indian firms for bringing satellite-based internet to the country. Musk is also eyeing deals with Indian semiconductor and chip makers as he looks to reduce dependence on China. The US-China trade war is pushing Musk closer to India. Palki Sharma tells you more.
