Day One of the SCO Summit in Tianjin saw a high-stakes meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping. This was Modi’s first visit to China in seven years and his second meeting with Xi in just ten months. The two leaders discussed border stability, the resumption of direct flights, and the need to build relations on trust, respect, and cooperation.
