China is reportedly said to dominate the metallic race i.e. rare earth elements. These are a group of 17 metallic elements that are vital for modern technology, like smartphones, electric vehicles, wind turbines and various advanced weapons.
Nowadays, rare earth elements are becoming the focus of a new global race. Malaysia is in talks with China about building a refinery while UK is preparing for mineral partnership with Greenland.
