At least nine Pakistani Army soldiers have been killed in a militant attack in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province on Monday. Suspected armed militants opened fire at military vehicles stationed at a police station in Balochistan's Washuk district, slaying nine army men, including a captain. The attack is the latest in a string of deadly assaults claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a militant separatist group seeking independence for Balochistan. It coincided with the US listing the BLA as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) on Monday.
