Typhoon Bualoi has lashed Vietnam’s coastline, leaving at least 13 people dead and 46 injured, according to local officials. Fierce winds and torrential rains destroyed homes, brought down power cables and left major roads underwater. The storm later weakened into a tropical depression as it moved towards Laos after making landfall on Monday, with the national weather office reporting waves as high as 8 metres along the northern central coast
