WhatsApp users may now schedule their calls in advance thanks to a new feature. Both individual and group conversations can gain flexibility from the “Schedule Calls” tool, which allows users to plan calls ahead of time via the platform.

The new function can be found under the calls page. After tapping the plus (+) icon, users may choose the “Schedule Call” option. Prior to the start of a scheduled call, participants will automatically get a notice. There is no need for further reminders because this guarantees that invitees are aware when a call has been scheduled.

In a blog post, the company said, “Today we’re announcing new features on WhatsApp that make group calls easier to plan, and more interactive. Users may join ongoing calls whenever it’s convenient for them thanks to a new call link function. This is very beneficial for large groups or if someone has to join late without disturbing the flow.

Users may now preview who else is already on a group call before joining, which will help them decide how and when to join. This function provides a sense of transparency and ease, particularly in professional or unfamiliar environments.

The updates also offer the ability to sync planned calls with Google Calendar, allowing users to track and manage conversations more conveniently.

WhatsApp stated that it has adjusted its the user interface to improve call handling. The company stated that the update is meant for both personal and professional uses, such as family chats or work-related meetings.
