What was all the stink about 'Google Nose'?

In an ‘introductory video’ (Google did a lot of them yesterday), Jon Wooly of the ‘Google Nose’ team explains that they were inspired by his families puppy who uses her sense of smell to discover things. The companies ‘mobile aroma database’ reportedly merges “photons with infrasound waves that temporarily aligns molecules to emit a particular scent”. Wonderfully geeky jargon - Google. we’re impressed. “People dont always have time to stop and smell the roses. And now we are changing that”, says Wooly. Did you fall for it?
