The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched an incubation centre dubbed ‘Electropreneur Park’ at University of Delhi. It has been launched in association with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Delhi University (DU), and Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA). Inaugurated by Union Minister of Law & Justice and Electronics & Information Technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad, the aim is to incubate, develop, mentor and create innovations in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. It will offer assistance and support during prototyping and development of commercialisation of products that are conceptualised at the Electropreneur Park. It will also encourage R7D and innovations. The laboratories provided are said to be of international standard alongside mentorship from industry veterans and academicians. Besides, it will brings access to fund agencies, and assistant in the transition from an incubatee to a self-sufficient company. Electropreneur Park has received more than 175 applications for incubation, and six incubatees are already onboard including Arogya Medtech Pvt. Ltd, Ceantra Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Resonant Electronics Pvt. Ltd, Intutive Scientific Research & Evaluations Pvt. Ltd, Starbru Techsystems Pvt. Ltd and Stemrobo Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Dignitaries also present at the event were, P.P. Choudhary, Minister of State, Law & Justice and Electronics & Information Technology; Prof. Yogesh K Tyagi, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi; Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General, Software Technology Park of India (STPI) among others.
