Facebook has selected “JobSenz” to fund under its startup programme known as “FbStart.” Facebook launched the programme in 2015 with the aim of attracting good startups. Facebook aims at providing services and credits from Facebook and its vast network of partners to help the startup grow. The partner network for Facebook includes respectable names like Dropbox, Coursera, Twilio and Stripe. The startup is operating via a local subsidiary, Amarok Labs. The Singapore-based startup was founded last year by Monish Karam. The app provides a platform for both working professionals as well as students by catering to their needs. It enables working professionals by helping them search the jobs they want using the job search engine while at the same time, it gives a platform for students to access coaching and education material provided by coaching institutions. The startup enables professionals to prepare and download their resume using the bundled multi-lingual resume builder, reports The Economic Times. Karam points out that his app will help thousands of coaching centres across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to connect to new students and offer them study material. This will be great for the institutes without their Android apps. The material can be live coaching sessions or books which will help form a new revenue stream for educational institutions across these countries. The revenue model details that the startup thrives by charging a small percentage of all the sales of premium content being offered by coaching centres on the platform. This comes right after Facebook acquired Little Eye Labs, an Indian startup specialised in making software analyze performance of Android apps.
