Spotify, one of the world’s largest music streaming services, is experiencing new server troubles, preventing thousands of users from accessing the service on Tuesday evening.
According to the outage tracking website DownDetector.com, complaints of the disturbance began to increase just after 5:45 p.m IST.
The website has received thousands of reports from listeners worldwide, including India, UK and the US.
The majority of the reports refer to the Spotify app rather than the website.
This is the latest in a series of service outages for Spotify in recent weeks.
Spotify has not yet released an official comment or given an estimated time of full restoration, despite the increasing volume of user reports.
The company had many disruptions in April, with another setback only weeks ago, according to Spotify Status, the company’s official account on X for outage reports.
According to the survey, 94% of Spotify customers in America are having problems with the app, 4% are having problems with the website, and 1% are having trouble with the search feature.
As the issue progresses, users are advised to keep an eye on Spotify’s social media platforms and DownDetector for real-time service status updates.
Frustrated users turned to social media to express their worries and request updates, with many citing frequent access issues over the last month.
