Sony Xperia U: a faster smartphone for just Rs 16,499

For those looking to shell out less than 20 k for an Xperia phone, Sony Xperia U proves to be a worthwhile option to consider. Xperia U which is an Android phone and part of the NXT series, will soon be available in India. For those who believe in online shopping, the phone is available on Letsbuy and Flipkart at Rs17,399 and Rs16,499 respectively. The option to pre-order is only available on Letsbuy for now. According to Tech2.in, the phone sports has a 3.5-inch screen, with Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine treatment. It has a 1GHZ dual-core processor, which makes it the only dual core phone available in India for less than 20k. Other specifications of the phone include,  5MP camera with AF, LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a 0.3MP front camera,  8GB Internal memory and 512MB RAM. Samsung might have ditched India for the launch of it’s Galaxy Nexus phone, but Sony is no mood to lose out on the Indian market. The new Xperia U would be a smart choice for those with a mid-budget range, given that it’s a dual-core smartphone and is rich in other features.
