Sony Xperia L to be available in stores for Rs 19,990 next week

Sony’s mid-range Xperia L device which was unveiled in March, will be available in stores for Rs 19,990 from 8 May, although NDTV reported that some online retailers are selling it for Rs 18,990. The Xperia L device which comes equipped with a powerful 8MP camera is being positioned as an ideal phone for photography enthusiasts. The phone camera also features HDR or High Dynamic Range which allows users to take better landscape shots, portraits in sunlight and good photographs even in low-Light and Backlit Scenes. Other features of the Xperia L include a 4.3-inch display with FWVGA resolution (854x480) and a scratch-resistant glass on top. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz. Additionally, there’s the Adreno 305 GPU. The device runs on Android 4.1.2 (JellyBean). It also has 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, the device supports HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. It can also be used to create a WiFi hotspot. According to Tech2.com, despite its low-end specs, this CPU-GPU combination should hold the Xperia L in good stead. Detailed video of the Xperia L:
