Samsung launches Galaxy Note 10.1 tab in India for Rs 49,990

Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) in India with enhanced privacy and security protection provided by Samsung KNOX.

Samsung launches Galaxy Note 10.1 tab in India for Rs 49,990

Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) in India with enhanced privacy and security protection provided by Samsung KNOX. The tablet, which is equipped with WQXGA Super clear LCD (2560x1600) resolution with a 10-inch display, has a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor and 3GB RAM. The tablet is priced at a hefty Rs 49,990. “The device’s screen size enables enhanced multitasking. With Multi Window, users will be able to run separate instances of the same application and use an enhanced S Pen to drag and drop content from one window to another,” Samsung said in a release. Pen Window enables users to simply draw a window of any size on the screen, and instantly access unique in-application features such as YouTube or calculator. AFP[/caption] Besides, Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with enhanced privacy and security protection provided by Samsung KNOX. Users can activate it with ease, that allows them to run and store security-sensitive applications and data inside a protected execution environment called ‘container’, it added. Users can choose to store enterprise app and data like corporate email, contacts and calendar and allow IT department to manage the container through Exchange ActiveSync Server. It make Note 10.1 an ideal device for Bring-Your-Own-Device to work, it said. Available with a WiFi and 3G connectivity option, Galaxy Note 10.1 has 32 GB internal memory which can be supplemented with a microSD card for up to 64 GB. It is priced at Rs 49,990 and will be available in two colour options – Jet Black and Classic White. PTI
