Samsung Galaxy Grand up for pre-order for Rs 2000

Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy Grand 2 is now available for pre-order on the official Samsung India estore and on the e-commerce portal Snapdeal.com The price of the smartphone has not been confirmed by Samsung although it will be between Rs 22,990 to Rs 24,990. Snapdeal has a pre-order price of Rs 999 for the smartphone, while the Samsung estore has a pre-booking price of Rs 2000. According to Samsung’s terms and conditions for pre-booking the smartphone is expected to launch in India in the third week of January. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is the follower to the highly successful mid-budget Galaxy Grand phablet from Samsung. The Grand 2 smartphone comes with a bigger 5.25-inch screen. The original Galaxy Grand had a 5-inch screen. The Grand 2’s screen resolution is also better and it comes with 1280x720 TFT screen. The earlier version of the phone had WVGA screen with 480x800 pixels resolution. The Grand 2’s screen also has 16:9 HD ratio or a wide angle ratio, which is well-suited for movies, playing games, etc. Like the previous phone, this too is a dual-SIM phone. The processor is clocked at 1.2 GHz and is a quad-core version. Galaxy Grand One had a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 Ghz. It has a microSD slot with 64 GB as the limit. The front camera is 1.9MP and is capable of shooting and recording in HD mode. The rear camera is 8 megapixels. In the previous version, the RAM was 1 GB, while the camera specifications were the same. The smartphones supports WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 version, GPS ＋ Glonass and USB 2.0. The smartphone runs Android 4.3 version. The batter is 2,600mAh and Samsung is promising 10 hours of playback and 17 hours of calls on the Galaxy Grand 2.
