Good news for all Samsung Galaxy S II users who were wondering if they were going to get the Jelly Update.. no need to ditch your phone, because your wait will soon be over. According to CNET a Samsung spokesperson has confirmed that Jelly Bean updates will be rolled out to S II owners in Singapore in February first after which they will be rolled out to other countries.
Rumours of updates started after Samsung Korea posted details about the Jelly Bean upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S II. The updates were later removed from the site, but Samsung fansite, SamMobile, managed to get a screengrab of it and leaked the details.
The post on SamMobile also gives out details of the update. According to the post, the Jelly Bean update by Samsung will reduce internal memory of the phone from 12GB to 11GB and the reduced 1GB memory part will be used for system partition. The update is not an over-the-air one and will be only be available via Samsung Kies.
