As online abuses of one Amaresh Mishra goes on, the Twitterati has joined hands together to prevent it by referring the case directly to the junior home minister.

Who is Amaresh Mishra? No one exactly knows. But this name on Twitter today managed to get the attention of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh as the minister had received many complaints about this person’s behaviour on the social networking platform.[caption id=“attachment_702842” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Union Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh. Image courtesy PIB[/caption] Mishra’s lack of manners has gone so far on Twitter that Singh was today forced to tweet out, “I am receiving a lot of complaints about abusive tweets of some Amaresh Mishra.I have absolutely no idea who he is.” The alert Twitterati crowd is however helping the minister to guide him to the individual. Utsav Mitra, tweets out that Mishra is a “member of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee and key aide to Digvijaya Singh”. Mitra goes on to provide the minister with two links to help the minister. https://twitter.com/UtsavMitra/status/324087619657023489 Accepting that Singh may not be know each and every individual of his party personally, another Twitter member Shilpi Tewari tweeted, “Quite possible u dont know everyone in the party but I am sure u can find out. All we need is that he maintains limits.” Another individual Emanin ‏even provided with a video link. https://twitter.com/emanin/status/324088954594922496 For the time being, the minister has promised of action. “If anyone is threatening violence online, he must be reported to the police. If the police takes no action, please contact me via my office,” Singh said on Twitter.
