Xiaomi Redmi Note first look: To be launched today starting at Rs 8,999

The device weighs 199 gram[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243467” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”]  On the base you have the microUSB port, which is used for charging the phone and data transfer and beside it you have a microphone[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243462” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”]  The rear side is covered with thick plastic cover which looks like a smudge magnet. There’s a 13MP rear camera on top and an LED flash unit below it. Redmi Note comes with a removable cover that can be swapped with other designs, but we wonder if these covers will be made available in India. It houses a 3100mAh Li-polymer battery which is also removable[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243468” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”]  On the base of the front face, you have three soft keys which are similar to the ones seen on the Redmi 1S. In fact, the Redmi Note looks like a bigger version of the Redmi 1S on first glance[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243466” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”]  Xiaomi has introduced India-specific themes which will be seen on the Redmi Note. This one is cricket-based theme, hence the green and brown colours. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board flash storage[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243464” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”]  The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G variant houses a MediaTek MT6592 SoC with an octa-core processor and runs Android 4.2.2 with MIUI skin whereas the 4G variant will see a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a quad-core processor and will run Android 4.4.2 with MIUI skin atop it[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243459” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”]  The Redmi Note has a 13MP rear camera with a BSI CMOS sensor and a 5MP front camera[/caption]
